What's a Bavvel controller, and why would I want to become one? |
A Bavvel controller is someone who controls a highly sophisticated "drone". This "drone" is actually another person, called a Bavvel "proxy". A proxy sends his controller a live video feed and has agreed to follow his controller's commands. This allows the controller to not only see and hear what's happening at a remote location, but also -- through her proxy -- to move about and manipulate objects there. In this sense the controller can be present effectively thousands of miles away from where she is located physically. It's almost like being in two places at once.
You'd become a Bavvel controller when you want to be elsewhere – in your own city or thousands of miles away – without being inconvenienced by physical travel.

How do I obtain a proxy? |
Through the Bavvel app or Bavvel.com. To hire a proxy for immediate use (an on-demand mission), you would enter a location and select currently available proxies from a map. To hire a proxy for future use (a planned mission), you would search through proxy profiles and select a proxy that suits you.

How much does it cost to hire a proxy? |
Currently, $33.00 per hour. If you require your proxy to use their motor vehicle, there is an additional $7.00 per hour charge. The Bavvel app and Bavvel.com are free to use. Just sign up. |
